Talk Title:
Efficient Resource Allocation and Task Offloading with Different MEC Scenarios

Talk Abstract :
With the development of wireless communications, the monthly mobile data is anticipated to soar to a staggering 257 GB by the year 2030 according to forecast, which will lead to congestion in the backbone network. Mobile edge computing (MEC) is a promising paradigm to address the congestion in backbone network, reduce the latency of tasks, and balance the energy consumption at the end users. In this talk, we will present different application scenarios including online gaming, industrial Internet of Things, intelligent transportation systems, etc. These application scenarios have their own unique service requirements. We will talk about how to tackle these critical issues by designing efficient resource allocation and task offloading algorithms.
